Green Spaces Through Generations

by Delfina e Isabella

Green spaces have decreased over time. In this blog we will talk about pollution and climate change.

We talked to older generations and this is what they told to us.

They said that there were more green spaces in their cities when they were kids. They used to play outside a lot in parks and fields. There were more trees, now they are replaced by streets and constructions.

It was also mentioned that the air was cleaner before because previous generations cared more about nature because there were less pollution and less waste.

In conclusion they want to advice to new generations to take care of nature, recycle and not waste water.

Teenagers today see more constructions and buildings than green spaces. Climate change is a common topic in all schools because now pollution is too advanced and we have more information. All teenagers know how to help the environment but most don’t care about that.

Did you learn about climate change in your school?

Sport Through Generations

by Francisco Kisner and Bautista Angeletti

In this blog we are going to compare the difference between the older generations and new generations related in sports.

Older generation

In the past, people in Bahia Blanca used to watch sports on TV, listen on the radio, and read newspapers. Many also went to stadiums to watch teams like Olimpo or Villa Mitre. Football and basketball were the most popular sports, and it was a very social place.

New generation

Today, young people watch sports mostly on their phones or computers using streaming platforms and social media. They follow teams and players online, watch highlights, and get news instantly. For example, many young fans follow players like Marcos Moneta and watch his plays and tries online. They don’t go to the stadium as much as before, but they are always connected to sports in a fast and modern way.

In conclusion, the way people watch sports changed a lot over time. The old generation had a more traditional and social experience, while the new generation has a faster and more digital one. Which one do you prefer?

MUSIC THROUGH THE AGES

 By Sofi, Isa and Mai

Are there people that still listen to music on the radio now? We asked people from other generations and these are their answers:

Older generations listened to music on the radio or CD players, it was common to listen rock, pop, twist and reggae in English or Spanish. Some songs lasted more than 5 minutes, but most of them between 2 or 3 like now. Since there weren't many ways of entertainment, people listened to music all the time, or when they were bored.

Now, our generation doesn't listen to music on the radio or CD players, we do it just using our phones or the TV. We still listen to rock and pop, but the newest genres to listen now are trap, tech and reggeaton. Just like before, songs last mostly between 2 and 3 minutes, and some do last more. We listen to music when we travel, with friends, sometimes when we do homework and when we clean.

What changed the most about music between the generations are the lyrics of the songs, some genres and the way people listen to music. Do you have a radio or a CD player at home? Do you know how to use it?
